About

I have been working professionally as a farmer, gardener, and/or groundskeeper for the last 8 years. I have experience managing farms in Maryland and New Jersey and I have worked in both rural and urban settings. I currently work at Parks and People Foundation as their Landscape Maintenance Manager. There I maintain lawns, garden beds, and a native plant meadow, as well as care for trees and coordinate volunteer groups to remove invasive species.

Services

I can offer advice on residential vegetable gardens or small production farms. If you are looking for advice to begin a garden I can provide insights on layout, location, plant selection, plant varieties, weed control, tools, irrigation etc. I have experience dealing with many plant diseases and pests and can recommend remedies and resources for both. If you already have a garden or small farm I can review your set up and recommend systems or changes that might improve your efficiency and sales.

If requested, I can provide a post-consultation write-up with recommendations and resources tailored to your situation.

I have always worked on organic or no-spray operations and my knowledge is limited to natural methods of gardening.

My expertise is mainly with vegetable growing. I have some knowledge of native plants and can only offer limited advice on landscaping and lawn care.
